“My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Bixby’s last Sunday. It was great. Window seat with beautiful view of Forest Park. We had reservations and there was no wait to be seated. I like the brunch with the included a la carte brunch items. For a la carte items we tried the omelets, eggs benedict and waffles. All were very good and individually prepared and came out hot. The brunch table was equally impressive. Fruit, cheese, sea bass and beef wellington were all delicious. Small deserts off the brunch table as well as the a la carte bread pudding were delicious. The included champagne was also good. Our server Nikki was busy but kept a watchful eye on us and got assists from other servers. Look forward to returning.”
“The chef’s brunch was fantastic and delicious. Every single hot dish was unique and cooked to perfection, nothing was over cooked in the hot dishes. The desserts were the perfect bite size portion. Every single dish we sampled from the buffet was the best that I have ever had. The best beef wellington, best gooey butter cake, best brownie, and the most delicious, flakey yet moist and seared to perfection Sea Bass.
I can not wait to be back. The price is high, but worth every penny for the high quality ingredients they used.
Only complaint was the woman hostessing was shouting very loudly as she was delegating.”
“The view of Forest Park is wonderful, on snowy days or perfect summer days. Food from Butler’s Pantry with new , creative, healthy offerings that often suit the museums special exhibitions. Fish always good. Veggies great.
A lovely place for reunion with friends, good with groups of 8 to 14. Servers don’t balk at separate checks for groups. Deserts creative. Locavore.”
“A great place to dine. Good choices on the menu. Our waiter was pleasant, but because we were the last seating of the afternoon, I had the impression, at times, that people were waiting for us to finish so they could wind down their day. We were not given crackers to go with our meal until we asked and then I had the impression that this was not part of the meal. We did ask for dessert because we were celebrating our birthdays, and the waitress made this a complementary portion of our bill. She also recommended the chocolate brulee which was OUTSTANDING! They should make this a signature dessert.”
